Welcome to the EMCHN referral portal for internal and external referrals to the paediatric cardiology services within the Level 1 Centre at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. 

Please take a moment to read our referral guidance to ensure this is the correct pathway to refer your patient. 

Who can refer? 

 We accept referrals from any medical team who want a child to have a cardiology review. This is NOT for public use for self referral. 

Emergency and Urgent Referrals

 For emergency and urgent referrals please contact the on call paediatric cardiology registrar first through the Leicester Royal Infirmary switchboard on 0300 303 1573.

 If advised by the registrar, please complete the online form below and attach any appropriate files. Do not send a referral without discussing with the paediatric cardiology team first as this mailbox is not constantly monitored.

 You may be asked to send additional information to our referral mailbox: INSERT EMAIL

 Referral forms must be fully completed and discussed for the referral to be accepted otherwise they will be rejected.

GP Referrals

All NHS GP referrals must be submitted using the NHS e-Referral service and not via this form.
